YEAR 12: eNGLISH |
Honors Bio Project:
My group tackled this project in early April of 2021, it took commitment, reliance, and of course, a lot of time. We had U.C. Berkeley mentor, Noor, that guided us through the ins and outs of the process. From the abstract video all the way down to the final presentation. During our final presentation, U.C. Berkeley graduates and students were very impressed, despite Covid and zooming, our group still managed to meet all kinds of STEM students from around the Bay!
Math Major:
Aforementioned, math isn't really my strong suit, with a 89.7% in pre-calc I thought I was going to finish off the semester with a B. It wasn't until the Unit Math Major was introduced. To be frank, I thought the math grade would plummet my grade due to my lack of confidence in math, but with the right set of group members, persistence, and curiosity we landed an A on this project, and I finished off with an A!
Personal Narrative:
Writing my personal narrative seemed like it was going to be a breeze in hindsight, although, I didn't realize the myriad of intricacies I needed to include for someone else to see my narrative through their lens. In my narrative, I tried to incorporate all the 5 senses in order for the reader to imagine the story how I perceived it.
